16.12.2022 - Rotting Christ (GR) + On Thorns I Lay (GR) - Tallinn

It has been a fruitful year for Estonian metal fans AD 2022, and now the end of this season is slowly creeping towards us. What a better way to start wrapping up the year of concerts than classic black metal orchestra Rotting Christ, just before the birthday of the mentioned saint? This powerhouse of a band from Greece will conquer Tallinn with the help from another group of their countrymen – On Thorns I Lay, who will join the pioneers of Greek scene on Rockclub Tapper’s stage on 16.12.2022.

Rotting Christ is a well known black metal pioneer band from Greece, whose long history of releases and live tours is a proper legacy for the whole international scene of black metal to prosper on. It is not the first time for the legends to set their foot on Estonian soil either, last visit being from 2019, when they shared the stage with Moonspell. The gig back then was also organized by Damn.Loud Agency, and now the show goes on with the same energy as three years ago. (At least!)

On Thorns I Lay is no greenhorn group either, going all the way back to the 90s, where they started their journey not long after the foundation and groundwork of the Greek scene was laid by Rotting Christ. Sporting a bit more gothic- and doom metal inspired sound, On Thorns I Lay will make sure that the visitors will be in a right dark mindset for receiving the season’s greetings from the Rotting Christ itself.
